Update-- 4/10/10

What a week!! We enjoyed a very nice Easter celebration. The performance at church was incredble and inspiring. (I am in awe of the talent that God has granted to members of our church!!) After church, we went to Ponderosa for a buffet (yummy!), and then home for an Easter egg hunt and Easter egg coloring. We concluded the day by flipping channels between the Amazing Race (go cowboys!!) and the Oklahoma women's basketball national semi-final game with Stanford (sorry Sooners...). Although we missed our Britti (still in Indiana with the grandmas), we had a blessed day.

Over the course of this week, three of us (Roger, Christie, and Emmy) were on antibiotics for various illnesses; Britti helped Grandma B. and Great-Grandma in Indiana and then flew home; Chelsea spent countless hours at the track; Emmy started Sandlot softball, and Ellie-Kate practiced her new favorite sentence: "I got it!!" Now that Ellie-Kate has figured out the sentence thing, she is putting them together so much now. Britti returned home (safely, praise God) on Friday night, and she is amazed by Ellie-Kate's verbal development in just eight days. She's our little talker, and she LOVES talking on the phone.

As the pictures reflect, Ellie-Kate just adores to do what the older girls do... talking on the phone, "doing" homework, playing ball, or just plain "going." She was really upset today when she couldn't go along to softball practice and dance rehearsal with Emmy. She wants to play ball NOW, and we're going to have an adventure with her as we try to watch Emmy's soccer and softball games this season. (Ellie-Kate is going to want to head right on out to the field!!)

Roger and I ended the week tonight by going out to dinner as a couple and then coming home and watching some classic episodes of WKRP in Cincinnati. I'm going to be showing four episodes as a mini-marathon at the Central States Communication Association conference in Cincinnati this week, and I needed to finalize my selections. What a funny show! We rarely take time to watch sitcoms, and it was fun to share a few episodes with the girls.

It will also be fun to share our girls with others in the association again. They met Ellie-Kate right after she arrived in the country last year, and I know that they're going to be amazed by her growth and progress. I'll post pics from the conference after we get home next week. Until then, I hope that you enjoy a terrific week. Thank much for caring about our family!!
