Just 15 short months ago, we held you in our arms, and you changed our lives forever!! We love your boundless energy, your inquisitive and razor sharp mind, your sense of humor, your passion for sports, your love for Disney (both princesses and furry friends), and your fondness for the Wiggles, "playing babies," running through indoor playgrounds, and all kinds of animals. You make us smile so much, especially when you're charming yet another relative or new friend. We are so amused when you "fill in the blanks" for us. Like tonight, when Daddy said that you had to go inside before playing outside, you nodded and noted, "Check weather?"-- something that we always do in these stormy summer months. It remains so easy to just adore you!!! Has it really only been 15 months since we first stroked your pretty black hair or watched you sleep? The time has passed so quickly, yet we can't imagine a time without you. Happy Anniversary, baby girl :)
We spent a good share of our anniversary on the road home from Virginia today. We went down yesterday. Grandma P took all of the girls (Chelsea, Emmy, Ellie-Kate, and Chelsea's friend, Elena) to Chuckie Cheese, and we ended up doing an impromptu celebration of Chelsea and Elena's upcoming 16th birthdays-- just a week apart. Everyone had much fun!! We spent the night at Grandma P's house, and Ellie-Kate got to sleep in a big bed for the first time with me and Emmy. Wow-- that girl NEVER stops moving in her sleep. She was between me and Emmy, and she shifted and sprawled and squirmed all night long!!!! Emmy declared that she's never sharing a bed with her again. (Chelsea used to be the least desirable sister in this regard, but Ellie-Kate now officially has taken that title!!) To be fair, she's never had to share a bed before, and she's only two, but poor Emmy's lucky that she doesn't have bruises :) (Even in her sleep, Ellie-Kate can throw a mean kick!!) However, no one is worse for the wear, and the little girls and I are safely home now. Chelsea and Elena are staying a few more days so Roger has to drive down and fetch them on Friday.
Enjoy the fun pictures from Chuckie Cheese!!
