Happy Fourth of July!!

Greetings--

We just returned from a four day trip to Indiana. After driving six and a half hours, we went to a great production of High School Musical at the Wagon Wheel Playhouse in Warsaw on Wednesday. On Thursday, we shopped with Grandma B., met Grandma's friends and co-workers at IRE and Penguin Point, drove up to a great Amish restaurant with Gma B. and Great-Grandma (YUM!!!!!), and visited with Christie's friends Michelle and Shari and Shari's daughters, Kelsay and Kylie at the Ramada that night. Chelsea and Kylie ended up having a sleepover at her house, and Chelsea added lots of Facebook friends :)

On Friday, we drove to Indianapolis and visited with Aunt Teresa and Uncle Jeff and cousins Phoebe and Brodie. The cousins had a great time together, and everyone enjoyed meeting Ellie-Kate!! After a cook-out at their house, we went to Carmalfest, and the kids all played games. Ellie-Kate even went into her very first "ball pit." She was pretty amused :) We ended our day by watching the fireworks over Winona Lake. (Chelsea enjoyed her independence by running around the lake area with Kylie and her friend.)

On Saturday, we had a cook-out at Grandma B.'s house, and Ellie-Kate met Uncle Robbie. She went to him right away. Otherwise, she was pretty connected to me throughout the entire week-end. Given how much that she has been calling for Dada lately, I have to admit that I really loved hearing "Mama" so much :) (Roger had to stay home and take care of our critters so I was on duty with the girls during the trip.) We left to drive home around 2, and we finally pulled back into Athens around 9 p.m.

We were right back on the road today to pick up Chelsea's eight market bunnies from Lucasville (about an hour and a half away), and we're headed to her district skit competition in Newark (two hours away) tomorrow. All of the older girls are off to 4-H camp later this week so Ellie-Kate will have Mama and Dada all to herself for four days!!
