What an awesome time at DisneyWorld-- November 23-29, 2010!!

We hope that everyone is enjoying a tremendous start to the holiday season!! We had an amazing time at DisneyWorld with Britti over Thanksgiving. We visited all four parks, took pictures with the characters, rode rides, and relaxed in sunshine and 80 degree weather. Ellie-Kate warmed up to the characters as the week went on, and she continually asked to meet them. One of our funniest moments on the entire trip was when Ellie-Kate met Cinderella's stepmother. We had just mentioned to the stepmother that Ellie-Kate was a bit timid. The stepmother (who had massive make-up to make her appear sharper) tried to warm up to Ellie-Kate by playing with her new bear, Duffy, and she leaned in a tad close. Ellie-Kate looked at her face and asked (as only a child could ask) "What's she doin' with her face?" The poor woman was so stunned that she responded with "okay..." She recovered and said "okay, I'm done with you!" We laughed so hard!!!

Britti had to work for the first five days of our trip, but she still managed to spend time with us everyday. Britti and Chelsea got to ride the big thrill rides; Christie got to shop and see shows; Roger finally got to spend some quality time in Frontierland and Adventureland, and Emmy and Ellie-Kate got to collect character autograph, trade pins, and enjoy some of the tamer rides and shows. Of course, the warm weather spoiled us (okay, REALLY spoiled Christie!!), and it's been tough to transition to winter weather back here in Ohio. We are so grateful that we had this opportunity to visit Britti and to enjoy this wonderful place. We don't know when we're going back so we really savored the moments and the magic :)
