Chelsea smiles as she says "good match" to her first round opponent.
Members of the AHS Varsity Tennis Team pose before hitting the courts for sectionals: Devon (alternate), Meelim (first singles), Kelsey (first doubles), Jaime (second doubles), Chelsea (third singles), Hannah (second singles), Castle (second doubles), and Anya (first doubles).
After Chelsea's first round match, she had a horrible draw-- she had to play the first seed of the entire tournament (Ali Miller-- a truly amazing tennis player who is ranked #4 in the state and #14 in the midwest). After beating Chelsea (6-0, 6-0), she went on to win the entire sectional tournament. Hopefully, Chelsea won't have such a lousy draw next year... However, Chelsea played tremendously in the first round and admirably in the second round :)
