Tentative Travel Itinerary

3/17/09 Drive from Athens to Columbus so we can rest before early flight.

3/18/09 Flight to Beijing!!

3/19/09 Arrive in Beijing. Guide will meet us at the airport and take us to check in the King Wing Hot Spring Hotel.

3/20/09 Visit the Great Wall, LHI’s Orphan Training Center, the Olympic Stadiums, and enjoy a Peking Duck dinner.

3/21/09 Visit Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and watch an Acrobat Show at night

3/22/09 Visit the Summer Palace in the morning. Flight from Beijing to Kunming. Guide will meet us at the airport and take us to check in The Grand Park Hotel.

3/23/09 Pick up Eliza Kate Beck-Aden at the local Civil Affairs Office!!!! Complete paperwork, and shopping trip to Wal-Mart for supplies.

3/24/09 Visit the Golden Hall

3/25/09 Visit the Kunming Orphanage

3/26/09 Trip to the City Zoo

3/27/09 Pick up notary paperwork and Ellie-Kate’s passport. Fly to Guangzhou. Guide will meet us at the airport and take us to check in the White Swan Hotel.

3/28/09 Complete Ellie-Kate's medical exam, have visa photo taken, and complete the paperwork for the Consulate.

3/29/09 11:00 Church (English Service), Tour Guangzhou

3/30/09 Consulate Appointment in the morning. Guide will deliver paperwork. Family must wait for the guide to call the hotel room.

3/31/09 Trip to the U.S. Consulate to recite group oath and pick up Ellie’s visa

4/1/09 Check out of our hotel, flight to Beijing CZ 3101 8:00am-10:45am, then home to the US with our baby!!!!!!!!

4/1/09-4/5/09 Fly from O'Hare to St. Louis for the CSCA conference

4/5/09 Fly from St. Louis to Columbus and drive home to Athens, arriving around 7:30 p.m.
