Reflections on "Alice"
Chelsea Meagan did a TERRIFIC job as "Alice." She memorized over 300 lines, stayed on stage for the entire show, and participated in eight musical numbers, including four solos. VERY proud of my little drama queen :)

Chelsea Meagan did such a terrific job as "Alice" today during the show. She had two performances (2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.), and she just shined. She never left the stage, uttered over 300 lines, and performed in eight musical numbers-- WOW!!
Mom and Grandma also visited. Mom really enjoyed the shows, but Grandma didn't get to go. We just didn't think that she would know or understand what was up, and she did, indeed, sleep during the entire time that she would have been at the shows. It's just sad because I know that she would have loved them, if she wasn't so out of it. Unfortunately, we can really see the decline between her visit in October and this visit. I had one short conversation with her, but, otherwise, she just didn't even really seem to know who was sitting beside her or what was going on in the room...
(heavy sigh...) On the positive note, they did get to visit, and Mom did get to see Chelsea Meagan's big performance as the lead in the high school musical during her senior year. Chelsea's numbers were choreographed by the woman who taught her as a toddler at Factory Street, and, as another "blast from the past," her very first boyfriend, "Ryman," from Athens Church of Christ pre-school came to see her performance tonight. He now lives in Lancaster, and his family drove down for the show. Very special to see them again and to re-connect.
I'll upload pics tomorrow! I have a goal of having a more regular prescence on the blog... It's been a crazy year, but we're going to have much to share over these last seven weeks of high school for Chelsea Meagan and elementary school for Emmy.
More soon--

Before the show, Emmy's Girl Scout troop dined at the China Buffet. The girls really seemed to enjoy the dinner out as well as the show. After the show, they got to meet several of the actors too :)
