The seventh graders did a nice job of decorating the gym for 8th grade night.
Overall, the season was disappointing but expected. Emmy is still so tiny compared to the others, and her poor little body just couldn't play as tough as the competition. A few others had the height but not the heart, and others lacked skill. We're concerned about next year, when Emmy has to compete for a spot on the JV team versus all of the other grades, but she's growing, day by day, and we're going to try and get some private coaching for her. She did make the AAU team, but they practice twice a week in Zanesville, and we just can't make that commitment as a family. Hopefully, her practice sessions with a local coach will enable her to build the skills that she needs. In the meantime, we're proud of Emmy for hanging in there doing a difficult season!! Go Dawgs!!
