Disney on Ice-- February 8, 2014

I had to fly to DC for a meeting on Wednesday, February 5. Wow, the roads were terrible, and the kids were out of school again. When I got to the airport, the parking garage was full, and I had to park in the overflow lot. Snow covered the entire area, and, rather than get stuck, I asked a crew member to clear a space for me. What a mess!!

Fortunately, I had changed my flight to an afternoon departure, and that flight departed on time. I had an awesome time at the NCA Leadership Retreat and returned to Columbus on Saturday, February 8-- just in time for lunch with the family at Olive Garden and our annual trip to Disney on Ice. We loved the show, but we had to admit that we were more than a little disappointed that our "Frozen" friends weren't in the show yet. We love that movie, and we can't wait for those characters to appear in the ice show :)

After the show, we stopped at the mall in Lancaster to pick up some shorts for Emmy. Roger and Ellie-Kate enjoyed a train ride instead of shopping :) The girls also loved a chance to get ice cream at Coldstone, even though it was freezing outside!
