Hi everyone--
Well, it's been a long time since I've had a chance to write... Over the past seven weeks, we've been traveling non-stop. On the positive side, we've been on the go for fair queen events, 4-H competitions, camps, and Chelsea's move to college. On the down side, we had to travel to Virginia to see Wade (Chelsea and Britti's dad) in the ICU of a hospital in Roanoke and, sadly, to attend his funeral two weeks later. After a summer like this one, I'm just ready for a break... and, of course, we're all headed back to school now. In one summer, we lost Wade, Grandma Groscost, and Aunt Marilyn. All of us are just emotionally and physically spent, but, still and always, God is good.
It was so amazing to be at Baylor during this past week, to be in a Christian community, to pray before and at the conclusion of events, to feel His love and spirit among believers. He sustains us in hard times and smiles with us during the good ones. Thank you, Father, for inspiring Chelsea to choose Baylor as her home for the next four years.
In the coming days, I will strive to catch up the blog with photos and journal entries. Thank you for caring, for praying, and for loving our family. We're re-grouping and gearing up for a much more quiet and peaceful fall.
