Given that we had an early release day, the girls came over to our house before their game and enjoyed a team dinner of Subway, Kisor's, and lots of other goodies... Amazing, just how "normal" that this day has become... When Britti was a sophomore on 9/11, she was supposed to have a home tennis match; Chelsea was at Grace Academy, and Emmy was a tiny baby... Roger called and told me to turn on the news, and I watched video of planes hitting the Twin Towers... Just 12 years later, life no longer grounds to a halt for tributes and reflections. We schedule social events, athletic events, and school functions on this date without blinking an eye. Yet, for many of us, 9/11 will always hold meaning beyond yet another day of the week in September...
