Christmas with the Cousins-- December 29, 2012

Emmy and Brodie run through the snow...

We had a great time with the cousins in Indiana. We opened presents and then went sledding. It was sooooo cold, but what a good time!

COSI and Globetrotter's-- December 28, 2012

Emmy and Ellie-Kate go jousting in the special Lego area of COSI!

For the third year in a row, we treated Emmy to a Globetrotter's game by herself for her birthday! Roger and the other girls stayed at COSI while Christie and Emmy went to the game. Emmy got a new basketball for autographs, and we had awesome seats!

Under construction... one wobbly gingerbread house :)

Merry Christmas, 2012

As usual, we enjoyed a very relaxing Christmas Day-- woke up to cinnamon rolls and the Disney Christmas parade, stockings, and presents. After presents and the parade, we got cleaned up and ready for the day and then ate lunch. Roger and Christie went for a walk while the girls played with the new wii games. We watched the Santa Clause movies (again), amid naps (the girls), snacking, and supper. After supper, we had more stories and our traditional nativity re-enactment. Yes, Ellie-Kate was once again the baby Jesus... She's getting a bit bit to play the part, but she really wanted to crawl in that manger one more time...

Christmas Eve, 2012

We started the day by making gingerbread men, and we kept right on going with all of our traditions... making cinnamon rolls and sugar cookies, going to church, reading stories, checking for Santa's progress on Norad. It was a good day, but, unfortunately, the parental units were pretty far behind so we were up until 2:30 a.m. with wrapping presents. Fortunately, Santa must have been delayed in Canada so we had just the right amount of extra time for our own "elf work."
